Unveiling My Journey of Entrepreneurship: A Conversation on the "In Her Field" Podcast with Agri Inside

I recently had the incredible opportunity to participate in the "In Her Field" podcast with Agri Insider. It was an honour to sit down with the host, Lauren, and share my experiences as the owner of Ardattin Embroidery and Ballybar Ireland, as well as co-owner of Coppenagh House Farm with my husband Robert.

In this blog post, I want to take a moment to reflect on this inspiring conversation and share the insights and lessons I gained from the experience.During the podcast episode, Lauren and I delved deep into my entrepreneurial journey, starting from the moment when I decided to take the plunge, leave full time employment and focus on my own business. I had the opportunity to talk about the challenges I faced, including the extensive research I conducted on the clothing industry and the struggles of balancing multiple businesses. Opening up about these hurdles allowed me to shed light on the realities of being a busy business owner and the determination required to overcome obstacles along the way.One aspect that has always been at the forefront of my business approach is the customer experience. I had the chance to discuss the organic growth of my Ardattin Embroidery which I feel comes from a strong emphasis on providing exceptional customer service. We chatted about the importance of marketing and building a solid brand reputation. It really was rewarding to share my insights and experiences, and I hope it resonated with aspiring entrepreneurs who understand the significance of creating a positive customer journey.Throughout our conversation, I stressed the importance of resilience in the face of challenges. I am grateful to have a supportive network of friends and family who have been instrumental in my journey. Their encouragement and belief in my abilities have fuelled my entrepreneurial spirit and helped me navigate the ups and downs of business ownership. I wanted to emphasise the value of surrounding yourself with like-minded people who uplift and inspire, as they can make all the difference in achieving success. As the podcast episode drew to a close, I had the opportunity to share my vision for the future of all three of my enterprises. My passion for my businesses and the agricultural industry is unwavering, and I am dedicated to the continued growth and development. Sharing this vision was an exciting moment, and I hope it inspired listeners to pursue their own dreams and aspirations.Participating in the "In Her Field" podcast with Agri Insider was an incredibly rewarding experience. Although I was quiet nervous about the whole time, it allowed me to look back on my entrepreneurial journey, share valuable insights, and connect with others who are passionate about the agricultural industry. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this platform and hope that my story serves as an inspiration to others who are embarking on their own entrepreneurial journey. I look forward to continuing to develop and expand my businesses, and I am excited to see what the future holds.Don't forget to tune in to the "In Her Field" video podcast every second Sunday on Agri Insider TV to discover more inspiring stories from women in agriculture.
