Women in Ag Series: Jade Fielding - Ballybar

Women in Ag Series: Jade Fielding

As part of our Women in Ag series, we’re shining a light on women across farming and rural life who embody the Ballybar spirit — rolling up their sleeves, following their gut, and proving that passion and perseverance can get you anywhere.

Meet Jade Fielding — Farming with Drive and Determination

Jade Fielding is proof that you don’t need to come from a long line of farmers or have acres of land to make your mark in agriculture. Based in North Tipperary, Jade rents 60 acres across two holdings, 40 on her home farm and 20 nearby , where she runs 15 suckler cows and fattens around 50 heifers off grass each year.

Alongside farming, Jade works full-time as Manager of J. Grennan & Sons Agri Store, balancing her business expertise with hands-on farm work. Her passion for the industry is clear, she’s living proof that if you love what you do and stay determined, the possibilities are endless.

Earlier this year, Jade bought her first tractor, marking another milestone in her farming journey. She’s practical, hardworking, and known for her laid-back, full-of-life attitude, the kind that makes people stop and listen.

Her advice to anyone dreaming of a life in agriculture?
“You don’t need a big amount of land, and you don’t need to come from a farming background. Just go do it and don’t ever let anyone tell you you can’t.”

Jade’s story perfectly reflects the Ballybar message, comfort, confidence, and the courage to just get on with it.
